Eel Hound

Typical-sized Elite Swimmer

Fear the eel hounds, slithering from the reeds, for they are pure hunters, as cruel as their fae masters. They hunt and track for the Lords and Ladies of the Summer Lands, and their prey is human or dwarf more often than it is boar or deer.

Eel hounds are fey river hounds that attack in massive packs of wriggling, darting forms. They move quickly both on land and in water. They prefer to bring aquatic prey up onto dry land and vice versa, to kill by suffocation when they can. Eel hounds like marshes, rivers, and beds of sea grass and reeds. They mate in spring, a time when the female protect a litter of small, almost legless young.
